Job Shadowing in Thailand

Through job shadowing abroad, participants gained valuable training and experience in the field. This increased their capacity to address a variety of issues related to environmental protection. All that was beneficial for STOP consortium overall. The sending and the hosting organisations developed a work plan aimed at supporting the hosting organisation’s work, by involving the youth worker in ongoing community projects related to ocean protection and plastic waste reduction. This ensured a two-way sharing of good practices. The Job Shadowings offered an opportunity for a two-fold improvement. Firstly, it was a chance for job shadowers to: 1) gain insight into the day-to-day actions in the host organisation; and 2) learn about youth work practices in the host country. On the other hand, the job shadower provided the hosting organisation with a new opinion from a different perspective on how their activities can be improved.
