LOCAL EVENTS
The Corporation of VSA Thailand in the STOP project, with these 5 local events, bring the opportunity to local Thai youth to train on Education and Environment Theme in wet area Thailand "Samut Songkhram"
Samut Songkhram is the wet area close to Bangkok, rich in mangrove forest, which is the area for baby sea animals.
VSA Thailand decided to implement 5 events in 5 different days in this place because is really important and need to be protected. Samut Songkhram is the home for baby sea animals, where they can grow before entering in the ocean or Thai gulf.
The Activities implemented in Klongkone Village with Klongkone Conservation Learning Center invonved about 80 youth. These events were also promoted by Wat Klongkone primary School.
Many education activities were implemented during the 5 events, using non-formal as education tool.
Thanks to the 5 events there was a great cultural exchange among youth coming from different parts of Thailand and the events supported the local communities to raise awareness coastal and resource conservation.
